Exciting news in the world of Fasthosts – we’re moving to a new office! Our home in Gloucester Quays has served us well for the past 24 years, but it’s time to expand. And we’re not moving far! Enter – The Forum.
It’s not as dramatic as it sounds, but it is modern, sleek and the perfect place for us to set up shop. Situated in the heart of Gloucester centre, and just outside the train station, The Forum is a brand new project, bringing new opportunities and new spaces to the city. Some of the amenities included are: a 4* hotel, a gym, retail and food spaces, a multi-storey car park and, of course, office space. Note: some of these aren’t yet completed yet, but for all updates please keep an eye on The Forum website and social media.
So why are we moving? As well as our old space being a little small for a growing business, our aim is to bring together our teams in a more collaborative and seamless way. Where previously we were working across two buildings, all of our colleagues will now be in the same place, encouraging a smarter, faster, and more effective working environment.
Another exciting feature of The Forum is its commitment to sustainability. It’s Net-Zero-Carbon, meaning it has energy efficiency at the heart of its design. It also has Air Source Heat Pumps and smart technology which adapt to our needs and make sure our working environment is as comfortable as possible. The building minimises any wasted energy and makes sure we have naturally ventilated work spaces at all times. The electric supply throughout the building runs on renewable energy, and movement sensor lighting means we’re never using more than we need.
And if all of that wasn’t enough, we get an amazing view of the cathedral, as well as an overlook on the city, keeping us fully involved in the hustle and bustle. So watch this space for more updates as we settle into our new home!
